Badge leads a life that most would consider to be contradictory.  Raised a Buddhist, she firmly holds to the ancient tenet of reincarnation and the sanctity of all organic life.  Her career, however, requires following orders that often result in property damage and sometimes even the taking of human life.  While some would simply abandon their faith for the sake of their job, Badge has managed to live up to these these two very different ideals by separating them in her mind -- a mental construct called compartmentalization.  Each section in her mind has its own standards, rules, and motivations, allowing her to function without hesitation... as long as her two worlds don’t collide.
